伊朗法律规定，一名男子可以娶四个老婆。另外，还有一种独一无二的契约婚姻模式，就是合法同居。所以现在小宋喜抱美人归完全不用担心重婚罪。为什么吗哈提苏拉一定要把两个女儿“推给”小宋呢 据小宋介绍犹豫德黑兰现在非常的缺少壮年男性两个女儿面对婚姻的时候并没有什么选择的余地，预期嫁给本地的大龄男士，还不如嫁给小宋这样年轻有为的国外人，当然小宋的为人处世也深深的博得了岳母和两个妻子的好感。
八年的两伊战争，使伊朗损失了近65万的青壮年男子。此后，伊朗的男女比例严重失调。据一个伊朗全国青年组织的调查表明，目前20至29岁的年轻妇女有620万，而25至34岁之间的男性仅有280万。而且由于伊朗男子有寻找比自己年轻的女子结婚的习俗，因此有将近300多万名女性可能会丧失结婚的机会。伊朗媒体说，就算是所有男子都结婚，也仍有180多万妇女要过单身生活。
